موجة الاعتقالات تتزايد في الخرطوم ضد نشطاء قرفنا و الحركات الشبابية الأخرى

متابعة لأخبار الاعتقالات التي طالت خمسة من أعضاء قرفنا يوم الأربعاء الموافق 25 يناير 2012 و ذلك بعد المنتدى الذي ناقش حقوق الانسان ،  الوضع التنموي في شرق السودان وأحيت الذكرى السابعة لمجزرة بورتسودان وصلتنا اليوم معلومات بأنه قد تم نقلهم الي سجن كوبر.

محمد عمر الأمين : تخرج حديثا في كلية القانون جامعة النيلين

حيث أشار ثلاثة من المنظمين للمنتدى أن منازلهم تتعرض للمراقبة منذ يومين مما أجبر اعضاء أخر على الاختفاء

Wave of Arrests Widens in Khartoum Against Activists from Girifna & other Youth Movements

Following the arrests of five girifna members on Wednesday January 25, after the end of a forum that discussed the human rights and developmental situation in Eastern Sudan, and commemorated the seventh anniversary of the massacre of Port Sudan; we got news today that they were moved to Kober prison. (Their names can be found found at this link: http://www.girifna.com/blog-girifna/?p=4372)

They are:
Nagi Musa,
Amar Dirar,
Gazi Altayeb,
Mohamd Mahjoub, and
Shareef Kamal.

Families of two more youth who attended the event have declared them missing since Wednesday night. They are:

•    Omar Ahmad Hamid: a girifna member and Khartoum University Student (3rd year, Arts and Sciences).
•    Mohamed Omer Al Amin: recent Nilien University graduate, College of Law.

Three activists who organized the event on Wednesday reported that for the last two days their homes have been under surveillance. This has forced other members to go into hiding.
Today a group of activists from Sharara: Youth for Change (field operations) were arrested while in a meeting they are:

Khalaf Saeed (who is visiting from the UAE and is connected to girifna and Youth for Change).
